The Big Sur International Short Film Screening Series showcases the best of short films from all over the world.

The Series is held every Thursday night starting June 9 and ending Sunday, August 28 with the Gala Finale.

The screenings are outdoors in our natural amphitheater, under the towering redwoods at the Henry Miller Memorial Library, a non-profit art center here in Big Sur.

As a non-profit, we greatly appreciate your kind donations help us cover costs associated with producing the series.

Our Jury

Our Jury is comprised of some of the world’s  most creative and innovative film-makers, artists, and musicians, including Philip Glass, Kirsten Dunst, Laurie Anderson, and Oscar winner Vilmost Zsigmond. 

Submit Your Film

We are interested in films that are bold and uncensored, films that invite us into your world, that will shock us, madden us, make us cry and laugh, films with moments that are especially lovely, serendipitous, interesting, candid or moving.

There is no particular theme and the only restriction is that your film cannot have been shown in our series before. No fee and no limits on year of production.  The deadline for submissions is April 20, 2012.
